Our Story

About Window Works

In 1987, we were married and moved to Wolfeboro, NH. Roy was pursuing a career in carpentry, something he had always wanted to do. Dorothy, with a degree in Physical Education, was working as a recreation therapist. During the slow economy of 1991, a friend offered to show Roy how to wash windows, and using a car-wash type squeegee, our business was born! Dorothy would go door-to-door looking for business, and Roy worked diligently alone washing windows, and 30 years later we still have our very first customer. We’ve come a long way since then!

Adding Services

Throughout the years, our added services of power washing (pressure washing), gutter cleaning, and deck and patio cleaning, have helped us service our customers’ home needs. We firmly believe our business was a gift from God, and even though we never intended to be window cleaners, have striven to honor Him in all of our work.

Committed to Building Character

We raised four wonderful children who have all worked with us in our business. It was an awesome training ground for teaching them perseverance, respect, and hard work, that we have seen them take into their own career pursuits. Having been blessed with cleaning such large beautiful homes, we have hired only the best of workers that share our integrity, honesty, and hard-work ethic. Our goal is to train up workers to serve you with excellence and take that work ethic wherever they go. We hope you enjoy getting to know our employees as much as we do—they are the best!

Striving for Excellence

Although we live in just a small town, and run a small family business, we consider ourselves to be extremely proficient and competent in all of our services. We have been to many conferences and training courses, and have made every effort to be knowledgeable and trained in our profession.

Our mission can be summed up in Colossians 3:12+23 “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” We hope to honor God and do our best in serving you.
